The Warriors Celebrate Their 2022 NBA Championship At The White House

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris welcomed the Golden State Warriors to the White House on Tuesday to celebrate their 2022 NBA Championship.

During this year’s visit, team captain Stephen Curry took to the podium to give a short speech. He thanked President Biden for securing the release of WNBA player Brtiney Griner from her detainment in Russia. He then presented custom-made jerseys to Biden and Harris with their last names — along with “46′ on the President’s jersey and number “1” on the Vice President’s jersey.

In an exclusive interview with Baller Alert, superstar Draymond Green discussed leadership and credits his relationship with Lebron James for teaching him how to be a better leader. When asked what’s the best advice Lebron has offered him from their long-standing friendship, Draymond said, “Greatness is a term that’s loosely thrown around as if it has one meaning but ‘Chasing Your Greatness’ has been the best advice he’s given me. ”

Green’s future with the Warriors was unclear heading into the 2022-23 NBA season after punching his teammate, Jordan Poole. Seemingly, the two were all smiles at the White House as the team celebrated their 2022 NBA Championship with The White House staff.

Senior Advisor to the President for Public Engagement Keisha Lance Bottoms was among those celebrating the Warriors’ win and told Baller Alert about some of the critical conversations The White House had with the team. “We had some great engagement with the team. Not just to celebrate the championship but to talk about other important things like policy and how we can make a difference.” Bottoms said the 2022 NBA Champions also participated in conversations about ending gun violence and voting rights.

The Warriors were invited to the White House in 2018 for winning the NBA Championship in 2017 but declined former President Donald Trump’s invitation.
