Kansas City Chiefs Will Face Philadelphia Eagles In Super Bowl 57

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs are headed to the Super Bowl!

Both teams won their respective conference championship games on Sunday and are now set to battle it out for the Lombardi Trophy at the Super Bowl. The Eagles will serve as the home team.

In the first game, the Eagles dominated the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, winning 31-7. The 49ers had suffered the loss of quarterbacks Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo earlier this season, with Brock Purdy stepping in and winning 10 straight games. But in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game, Purdy was sidelined by an elbow injury. Backup quarterback Josh Johnson stepped in before exiting the game with a concussion. Purdy was put back into the game but was clearly not healthy. Meanwhile, Eagles’ Jalen Hurts went 15 for 25 with 148 yards.

In the AFC Championship Game, the Kansas City Chiefs emerged victorious over the Cincinnati Bengals in a nail-biter of a game that came down to the final seconds. With the game tied in the fourth quarter, Mahomes ran of 3rd and four before catching a 15-yard break with an unnecessary roughness penalty against Joseph Ossai. The penalty put the Chiefs in field goal range, and Harrison Butker kicked a 45-yard field goal to give the team a 23-20 victory.

Super Bowl LVII will take place on Feb. 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Kick-off is set for 6:30 p.m., and the game will air on FOX and the FOX Sports App. Rihanna will headline the halftime show.
