“I Feel Like This a Character Assassination”

Kodak Black is not too happy about his recent arrest in Ft. Lauderdale after police found 31 oxycodone pills and $50,000 in cash in his possession.

On Tuesday, the rapper took to Twitter to express how he felt about his situation and claimed he intended to file a lawsuit against the police officers who arrested him.

“This Shit bogus Af I feel like this a character assassination issue Kuz theirs no way I should be getting harassed bout my tag being expired,” he wrote. “That’s no reason to even search my car in the first place, and going to jail about having my medication in the car is insane. Ima Sue these people for every dollar I gotta spend bout this shit!”

Aside from stating that he felt unfairly targeted based on his skin color, Kodak Black also asserted that he should be able to tint his windows due to his celebrity status.

“I’m being racially profiled and as a Black man in America,” he continued. “I deserve my freedom, especially with everything I do for my community. I should be getting love, respect, and support from the authorities! To move freely, not get arrested for expired tags and dark windows.

“This is a self-inflicted wound that coulda been prevented! My people posta made sure my tags stay up and my tints just right, but @ da same time, I should have a pass to drive with tints due to my status AT LEAST !!! I show all this love round here just to get slapped in the face.”

Although he was quickly bailed out, Kodak Black faces several legal consequences due to his arrest in Broward County.

According to court documents, a federal judge has placed him on house arrest.

Kodak has agreed to pay a $225,000 surety bond, drug testing, and wearing a GPS ankle monitor unless for medical reasons, court appearances, or employment.

In addition to giving 48 hours notice before concerts, he must ask his PO for permission before leaving home for any other reason.

According to the court order, “no studio events” are permitted unless they have had a judge’s prior approval.
