Rihanna is making an epic comeback, and what better way than to headline America’s most-watched football game– the Super Bowl LVI.
After the Fenty Beauty founder confirmed the news on Twitter on Sunday, she received an outpouring amount of love from fans and the self-proclaimed Rihanna fan himself, Dr. Dre.
During an Apple Music 1 radio interview, the “Next Episode” rapper offered some advice. “Put the right people around you, and have fun.”
The “Woo” singer hasn’t recorded or toured since 2016.
“That’s basically what it is, making sure you have the right creative people around you,” Dr. Dre added. “She might want to look into some of the people that we used to do our show.”
The rapper would have wise words for Rihanna as he put on a show for a lifetime this past Super Bowl halftime show. Dre performed with Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar Show.
The National Football League, Roc Nation, and Apple Music confirmed that “generational talent” and “cultural force” Rihanna will return to the stage to perform for the game’s mid-show.
Dre said, “I just like [Rihanna] and what she does, and her get-down, and how she approaches her artistry and the whole nine. It’s fantastic.”
“She has the opportunity to really blow us away. I know we set the bar extremely high.”
Dre wasn’t the only artist to send his “Congrats” to RiRi.
Lizzo commented, “Screaming.” While JT from City Girls said, “Yeahhhhhhhh🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.” Normani said, “👀👀👀👀👀.”
