Following the fallout with VH1, Ceaser Emanuel of Black Ink Crew is speaking out about the viral dog beating video.
The famed tattoo artist sat down with On Tha Radar Podcast Monday, where he discussed the footage showing him beating a dog with a chair and tossing another inside a cage. After the clip hit the internet several days ago, VH1 announced they were cutting ties with Ceasar, a decision he respects.
“I’m not gonna let one moment define who I am and basically outlive everything I’ve done for my legacy,” he stated. “I can admit it should’ve never happened, but it happened. Now, I gotta go in the path of fixing it and rectifying this because I don’t want the whole world thinking that of me.”
He also says that the video was released as a result of a bitter ex-girlfriend. Ceaser explained the video is years old but has been “dangled” over his head by his former lover. However, he says that when he publicly stated that he was single, it was released the following day. He also addressed the lack of loyalty from those close to him, including former Black Ink Crew star and friend Donna Lombardi, who spoke out against him after the dog video
“The betrayal is crazy to me because all these people that are basically acting like opps to me are people I put in position to eat,” he explained.
In an initial video statement, Caesar says he was only disciplining the dogs after they were fighting one another. He says that he was not trying to abuse the dogs.
Following Ceasar’s interview, the ex in question took to Instagram to accuse the tattoo artist of domestic abuse. Suzette shared an image of a bruised body part which she claims were a result of Ceasar’s abuse on Christmas.
“You worrying about who leaked the video instead of the part that you need help,” she said in a separate IG story.
She also accused his team of trying to cover up the truth about the dog abuse video.
